THE ROAD TO AUTONOMOUS VEHICLES

THURSDAY, APRIL 28TH – 10:45 AM MAIN STAGE

Moderated by: Lew Cox

Where are we, where do we want to be, how do we get there. A lot of cars are capable of self-parking. Some can even drive on the interstate for some period of time. Carmakers have signaled consumer ready AV may arrive within the next two to three years. Other experts say a more realistic timeline is the end of the decade. Are we, as an industry, ready? What do we need to do in the wireless space to make the dream of AV a reality? Fully autonomous vehicles require a level of connectivity that we don’t have today. There is a lot of work to be done and a lot of opportunities. How do we get there?

Martha DeGrasse – Wireless industry analyst, writer, and researcher for Automotive Edge Computing Consortium (AECC);
