Position Summary:

The Lease Consultant (LC) is responsible for driving the sales process with the leads obtained from the various wireless cell phone carriers and other sources. The LC renegotiates leases for wireless cell sites with landlords at terms within parameters defined by Md7 management and carriers. The LC submits lease terms to the Lease Processors for document preparation and reviews prepared lease documents for accuracy. The LC is also responsible for the timely return of the lease documents by the landlords to Md7 and may be required to communicate the details of a negotiated lease with one or more people.

Essential Job Functions:

  • 40-60% Communicate with Landlords: includes negotiating leases through inbound and outbound calls, attempting to contact landlords and sending or reviewing voicemail and emails to/from landlords. LC’s are expected to have an overall average of 25 outbound calls per day.
  • 20-40% Prepare for Call: includes reviewing and researching existing and/or new leases using the Company’s database/software system, internet and other various sources..
  • 10-20% Enter Data; includes entering data into the Company’s database/software system, Microsoft Excel, Word, etc.
  • 10-15% Prepare Proposals: includes creating presentation packages with accurate information and sending them via fax, email, standard mail, etc.

Other Job Functions:

  • 5-10% Interact with Management and Co-Workers; includes attending company meetings, helping co-workers with deals, responding to company emails, etc.
  • 3-5% Send Mailers; includes stuffing mailers into envelopes, stamping with postage and depositing sealed envelops into postal drop box.
  • 5-10% Other: includes assisting landlords with billing issues, site questions, etc.

Basic inside office set-up (Phone and computer).

Education Required:

High school diploma. A college degree is preferred but not necessary.

Experience Required:

  • 1-2 years of sales experience with commission based selling environment is preferred, not required
  • Customer Service, call center and/or experience dealing with the public is helpful.

Special Skills Required:

  • Demonstrable experience negotiating or persuading others to take action.
  • Basic computer skills with Outlook, Excel and Word are required.
  • The ability to communicate effectively and persuasively over the phone is a must!
  • The ability to be self-motivated with initiative to work steadily without direct supervision. Effective time management skills.
  • Must be comfortable placing outbound calls.
  • Experience in the mortgage, insurance or real estate industry is helpful.
