(CAD Designer Internship)

Job Summary

The A&E team facilitates preparing the detailed architectural and engineering drawings and specifications for MD7 clients within the telecom industry. This internship will research and execute zoning codes, learn permitting standards for various field measurements, and master assorted components to support the A&E Department. 

 

Major goals and responsibilities

• Review jurisdictional requirements and standards in state and local codes.
• Prepare applications and coordinate engineering/construction documents.
• Support the A&E Department with completing additional tasks needed.

Essential activities

• Prepare technical drawings: preparation of architectural and engineering draws and specifications utilizing AutoCad
• Modify drawings: includes revising redline mark-ups from engineering staff and are in compliance of company standards and state and local codes and ordinances.
• Participate in meetings: includes conference calls and face-to-face meetings to provide regular updates to internal team and interface with clients and others.
• Maintain database: includes daily updating of MD7 tracking databases and project management tools to communicate status and provide detailed reporting.

2. Experience
   1.  Interested in architectural and engineering development, architectural studies, engineering studies, legal and IT studies or similar areas of study
   2. Strong knowledge and experience with AutoCAD
   3. Good knowledge of architectural and engineering practices, methods and procedures

1. Licenses or Certifications
   1. Certification in technical drafting preferred
