MD7 Announces Contract Analyzer

AI/MACHINE LEARNING FOR CONTRACT ABSTRACTION AND DOCUMENT MANAGEMENT

SAN DIEGO – June 19, 2019 – Md7 is pleased to announce Contract Analyzer, software that leverages Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) to abstract key provisions and manage lease data for cell site leases. Md7’s Contract Analyzer algorithms were developed specifically to review complex cell site lease agreements with significantly greater speed and accuracy as compared to traditional, manual/human-based/resource-intensive methods.

Contract Analyzer utilizes Md7’s cutting edge, proprietary rules for machine learning to accurately abstract and categorize key lease provisions in thousands of cell site leases for major wireless operators.  Currently, Contract Analyzer has rules ready to deploy in English and German and is capable of quickly expanding to additional languages to accommodate worldwide customer demand for accurate lease data across all Mobile Network Operators (MNOs).

Jared Williams, Director of Data & Analytics identified the need and led the development of this solution.  Williams points out that “Contract Analyzer will improve our efforts to abstract hundreds-of-thousands of telecommunication agreements in support of site upgrades, data and document management, M&A activity, and other analytic initiatives, and provide significant, tangible benefits to ongoing lease and landlord management operations.  By combining Contract Analyzer with LiveTrack, our workflow and lease management software, we can more quickly and accurately review and maintain not just some, but all of the key lease terms. This, in turn, provides better lease analytics and improves decision making across all levels of an organization.”

Due to the constraints of traditional lease abstraction methods such as the large amount of human capital required, and the difficulty in accessing the necessary documentation, cost and time were often significant limiting factors for wireless operators. As a result, extracting lease information has typically been limited to one or perhaps a handful of provisions in a lease that are important for a single initiative. The drawback to this is that the data is of limited value, both in scope, and time. Shortly after it is abstracted, the data becomes stale and unusable.  As a result, the same information has often been abstracted year after year by wireless operators, at great expense.

Contract Analyzer allows users to:

  • Digitize their documents, creating an organized and searchable document database relying on Optical Character Recognition (OCR) and accurate metadata.
  • Implement any number of machine learning rules to quickly and accurately abstract and maintain lease provision data for existing and newly created lease documents, while significantly reducing the time and cost associated with this effort.
  • Push captured data into any system of their choosing for utilization and/or analysis.

MOBILE AUGMENTED REALITY FOR RAPID SMALL CELL DEPLOYMENTS

SAN DIEGO, CA, and MENLO PARK, CA – January 23, 2019 – Md7 and Overlay have partnered to develop Scout, a cutting-edge computer vision and mobile augmented reality app, to accelerate the site acquisition and land surveying process for small cells in the wireless industry.  

Scout accelerates the site acquisition process by enabling virtual site walks as well as automating pole measurements and the creation of candidate packages.  It eliminates the need for back office processing of the data gathered in the field because all field data is uploaded from the app and is immediately accessible through a complementary web portal called Base.  Base manages search rings and auto-populates candidate packages and site sketch templates as soon as the field data is uploaded from Scout.

Scout is also designed to accelerate the land surveying process for small cells through the generation of 1A and topographic surveys.  When paired with survey-grade GPS, Scout uses Visual Inertial Odometry to build an accurate 3D scene of the objects and planes around each candidate pole.  This data is also immediately accessible through Base, which auto-generates 1A and topographic surveys in PDF format for review and approval by a licensed surveyor.

MD7 Initiates Landlord Management for Vodafone Germany

San Diego, CA – August 21, 2018. Md7 announces that it has initiated landlord management services for Vodafone Germany.  

Md7 has established a landlord hotline and call center in Düsseldorf to manage the relationships with over thirty-thousand cell site and radio base station landlords across Germany for Vodafone. In addition, Md7 provides additional support from its European HQ in Dublin. Md7 uses its industry-specific system, LiveTrack, to create cases and manage a variety of landlord-related issues.

A centralized operation, combined with visibility and transparency into sites and projects, advances the management efficiency and strategic oversight of the mobile network real estate assets, as well as providing improved interaction for the different functional groups and outside vendors.

This is the second landlord management operation established by Md7. In 2016 Md7 began providing landlord management services for Vodafone in the Netherlands from its office in Maastricht.

Md7 Relocates Office in Portland, Oregon

Portland, Oregon.  Md7 LLC announces the relocation of its Portland operations. The new office is located at 6645 NE 78th Court, Suite C4.

Christine Bradford, Md7 Project Manager, notes that “the new office location provides us with a professional appearance and is near our clients’ offices.  The environment allows for the staff to work closely with each other for day to day interaction and is convenient for the frequent meetings and visits required to the clients’ offices nearby.”

Md7 began operating in Portland when it acquired Lexcom Development Corp in July of 2015. Louis Levy, founder of Lexcom and current Vice President at Md7, reiterated that “The relocation of the Portland operations has made it much more convenient for our Portland based team members to interact with our clients in the market and is a more comfortable work environment.  ”  

The airport is less than 5 minutes from our location which also allows for ease and convenience of staff flying into Portland for business or meetings in the market.

Giving Back 2016

Md7 works on organizing projects year round that exemplify our core value of Giving Back. This holiday season, the Giving Back Committee at Md7 partnered with the Hope Leadership Foundation in their Toys for Hope Toy Drive to collect toys for less-fortunate children in San Diego, California.

The Hope Leadership Foundation provided us with paper “ornaments” listing the age and gender of a child which we used to decorate the holiday tree in our foyer. Employees selected an ornament or ornaments of their choice and returned with unwrapped toys to place under the tree.

I personally found it immensely rewarding to watch, day by day, as more and more “ornaments” disappeared off the tree to be magically replaced by a wonderful variety of toys.

We initially set and successfully achieved our goal of collecting a total of 100 toys. Some toy highlights include some adorable stuffed animals, dolls, razor scooters, a variety of sports equipment, skateboards, RC cars and board games. These toys will be distributed locally at the King Chavez Academy of Excellence on December 17, 2016.

While it is easy to forget how fortunate we are, events like this Toy Drive help remind us how many children in our local community, due to circumstances completely out of their control, may be without a present this holiday season. It is truly wonderful to see the Md7 community come together and collectively help make sure 100 deserving children will get a new toy.

Md7 Expands Office in Maastricht, Netherlands

Maastricht, Netherlands. Md7 International Telecommunications Limited (MITL) announces that they have moved the location of their Benelux operations centre within the city of Maastricht in the Netherlands. The new office is located at Wim Duisenbergplantsoen 51, 6221 SE Maastricht.

“This is part of our ongoing growth and expansion as we have increased our service footprint with some of our key customers, and we needed additional room to handle increased staffing. We found a location that is more strategic with respect to our customers so that we can more easily engage in ad hoc, face-to-face meetings and planning sessions” said Michael Habets, Benelux Region Program Manager.

According to Mark Christenson, President of MITL, “Md7 has had a presence in or near Maastricht since 2009, and this is the latest evolution of our ongoing commitment to our customers to ensure that we can provide the optimised level of staffing as well as the most efficient level of engagement for the services being provided.”

In addition to a larger space, the new office provides better infrastructure and facilities that represent the company in the best way. “The new office is bright and open, highly technical and welcoming at the same time – I’m not surprised everyone loves it” said Svenja Preisler, Program Manager from Md7’s Dublin office, who, together with some of her team, recently visited the new premises. The team from Dublin visited Maastricht as part of Md7’s commitment its Core Value of Continuous Improvement and engaged in some workshops to exchange knowledge and align processes and procedures between the Dublin and Maastricht teams.
